Compañía Frutera La Paz SA., is a family-owned company based in Costa Rica that dedicates itself to the supply, processing and exportation of tropical frozen fruit and root crops. Our company was founded in January of 2006 by Luisa Chacón Caamaño. Since its beginning, our company has been successful in establishing long-term business relationships with international companies that have shared their knowledge and skills to ensure quality and consistency.

Our temperature controlled production plant is compliant with international food processing standards that provide a sustainable supply option for the accelerating and competitive frozen fruit market that exists today.

Our plant is minutes from certified farms that comply with the strict international standards of food and environmental quality to guarantee product quality and freshness.
The rigorous standards of quality and control of La Paz are a key factor of success for our growth. It all starts with the selection of raw materials,which are materials from certified providers that are encoded for the complete traceability of the finished product. Our dedicatedQuality Assurance Team manages our certification process which includes Customs C-TPAT, FDA registration, HACCP, BRC, ORGANICA y AIB.


La Paz offers pineapple, papaya, and cassava. These products are selected, disinfected, peeled and chopped. Afterwards, they are frozen under the IQF system, utilizing high quality standards. They are exported under the brand name, La Paz, private brands, retail sales and industrial clients in Europe, North America and South America.
